VEPU.APP GUIDE

How to fix TikTok download problems

A failed download does not always mean the website is broken. Use these checks to identify common causes before trying again.

The link is not recognized

Copy the URL directly from TikTok using Share → Copy link. Make sure it is a TikTok post link or a supported direct TikTok CDN media URL. Remove extra text around the URL, but do not edit the signed query parameters of a direct media link.

The video is unavailable

Private, deleted, age-restricted, region-restricted, or otherwise unavailable videos may not be accessible. Vepu.app cannot make unavailable content public or bypass access controls. Try a public video for which you have permission.

No MP4 option appears

The provider may return metadata without an approved media file, change response fields, or temporarily stop supporting the post. Vepu.app only lists links that pass its media-host validation. A newer link or a later retry may help, but success is not guaranteed.

The direct CDN link expired

Direct media links often contain temporary signed parameters. Copy a fresh link from an authorized source and submit it again. Do not publish the full URL because its query parameters may grant short-lived access to a file.

The browser opens rather than downloads the file

Check the browser's Downloads list and settings. On phones, a file can open in a media viewer instead of appearing immediately in a folder. Use the browser's download/share action when offered.

Keep the service safe

Do not send passwords, session cookies, or private account data to Vepu.app or a third-party downloader. Only process content you are allowed to access and save. If repeated failures affect public links, try again later because the provider may be rate-limiting or unavailable.
