Privacy Policy

This page explains the types of information that may be processed when you use Vepu.app.

Information processed

When you submit a link, the URL and basic technical request data may be processed by the Vepu.app server and the third-party service needed to resolve media. Avoid submitting private or sensitive links.

Temporary files and links

Vepu.app is designed not to keep a permanent public library of the videos you request. Temporary download tokens are stored in server memory and expire automatically. Hosting logs may be retained according to the hosting provider’s settings.

Third-party services

A media provider and video CDN may process requests to return a link or stream a file. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services.

Browser storage and creator tools

The Content Planner stores the entries you create in this browser using local storage so they remain available on this device. The planner does not currently synchronize entries to a Vepu.app account or server. Clearing browser data can remove locally saved entries. Other creator tools are designed to process their inputs in your browser where practical.

Advertising and cookies

When Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads and, where permitted, personalize them. Available controls depend on your region and settings. You can manage cookies in your browser and ad personalization in Google's ad settings.

Language preference

When you choose a language from the country/language menu, Vepu.app stores a first-party preference cookie so the root page can remember your choice. If no preference is saved, the root page may use the country code supplied by the hosting proxy to open the Indonesian version for visitors identified in Indonesia. The preference cookie only stores a supported language/country code. You can clear it in your browser settings.

Tool ratings

If you submit a tool rating, your browser keeps a random anonymous voting ID in local storage so the same browser can update its rating. Vepu.app stores a hashed version of that ID with the selected score and timestamp to calculate the aggregate rating and prevent duplicate votes. We do not ask for your name, email, or a written review. A short-lived in-memory request limiter may use connection address data but does not persist raw IP addresses in the rating file. Clearing local storage may affect recognition of your previous rating.

Anonymous visitor statistics

Vepu.app records basic first-party pageview statistics for site operations: the page path without query parameters, pageviews, daily unique browser counts using a random first-party cookie, classified traffic sources and referring hostnames, and country information when a trusted hosting proxy provides it. Full referring URLs and query strings are not stored. The server does not store raw IP addresses or user-agent strings in analytics, and the visitor identifier is transformed with the date so it cannot be used to link the same browser across different days. Aggregated analytics are kept for up to 90 days. You can clear cookies in your browser; blocking cookies may affect unique-visitor counts. Requests carrying DNT or Global Privacy Control opt-out headers are excluded.
