VEPU.APP GUIDE

How to make a clear TikTok video cover

A good cover helps viewers recognize a video's subject at a glance. Vepu.app Cover Maker creates a simple vertical PNG in your browser; it does not publish the cover to TikTok for you.

1. Choose one message for the cover

Write down the single thing viewers should understand before they watch. A cover for a recipe might say “Easy Soy Chicken,” while a tutorial could say “3 Editing Mistakes.” Short, concrete wording is easier to scan on a phone than a full sentence or a list of unrelated claims.

2. Use a vertical layout and a clear hierarchy

Vepu.app's cover canvas uses a 9:16 vertical format at 720 × 1280 pixels. Give the headline the strongest visual weight, use a smaller subtitle only when it adds useful context, and keep text away from the extreme edges. Remember that app interfaces and previews may crop or cover parts of a design.

3. Choose colors for contrast

Use a background and text color that remain easy to distinguish. If both are bright or both are dark, the headline can disappear on a small screen. Select one theme, then check the preview at phone size. Avoid adding so many decorative colors that the message competes with the background.

4. Preview the title and subtitle

Enter the title, optional subtitle, and one of the available themes. Check line breaks, spelling, and whether the most important words are visible immediately. If the title wraps awkwardly or becomes too long, shorten it instead of shrinking the text until it is hard to read.

5. Download the PNG

Choose Update Preview if you want to refresh the design, then select Download PNG. The image is generated on your device in the browser; the cover design is not uploaded to Vepu.app's server. Open the saved image once before using it so you can confirm that the result looks as expected.

6. Check the cover in context

Before publishing, preview the image where you plan to use it and check whether TikTok's interface hides any text. Use original images or artwork you have permission to use, and do not put misleading claims on the cover. A clear cover can help communicate the topic, but it cannot guarantee more views.

Quick cover checklist

One topic, a short headline, readable contrast, safe spacing, correct spelling, and a final PNG check are usually more helpful than excessive decoration. Keep a consistent visual style across related videos so viewers can recognize a series, while letting each cover accurately describe its specific episode.
